Warner brothers has no plan. If only DC was in better hands.
I wish dc was in better hands gone are the days of christopher reeves and richard donner michael keaton and tim burton superman the movie was iconic and they really inspired the superhero cinema craze and it was pushed forth keeping momentum going with tim burton's vision of batman these are movies that led the way for superheroes in the past dc and warner brothers was a dynamite combination but in the past few years Warner brothers has really stumbled marvel of course is the gold standard now executing not just good comic book movies but great movies overall, warner brothers had a nice run with christopher nolan's version of batman it was exciting and well executed but this seemed to be the start of where warner brothers did not understand where to go next honestly Nolan's vision was so unique that it almost left no room to expand upon a bigger universe they made a great choice in casting henry cavill and introducing a new superman in man of steel but i guess that version of superman couldn't fit in nolan's version of gotham city meanwhile marvel finally found their stride after so many attempts at trying to get just one good marvel movie going they were waiting for that one movie to be such a huge head that it would spark a fire and ignite the birth of a proper marvel studios that finally happened with iron man well here we are marvel studios is on top and it's very sad to see the dc extended universe stumbling i just recently watched aquaman and i loved it it was done so well it was fun and adventurous and paid proper tribute to not only the comic book but the cartoons as well it made me kind of sad aquaman was a really great movie wonder woman was a really great movie i really enjoyed man of steel that also was a really great movie but now there's nothing to look forward to with dc i know the wonder woman sequel is coming and it looks very exciting but there is no bigger picture to look forward to they already blew their wad on a justice league movie if only they hadn't been in such a rush to get justice league out and just waited.almost feels like warner brothers was so desperate to separate themselves from marvel they totally ignored what should have been done, put out your individual superhero movies make them amazing and then build up towards justice league i know warner brothers probably doesn't want to hear this but marvel really did it correctly that's why everyone has gone crazy for the avengers but let's face it justice league is the pinnacle of all superhero team ups when we think of superhero teams justice league is IT, superman batman wonder woman, green lantern, if only they had gotten the proper treatment in the same way marvel studios has done there are so many people clamoring for zack snyder's cut of justice league but i don't think we're going to get exactly what we want with that i'm almost certain you're going to end up with exactly the justice league movie we got not totally sure what warner brothers is going to do now that they need to find a new superman and batman would have said they should just move forward towards making a really great justice league sequel since many of us had invested time with henry cavill and ben affleck but sadly warner brothers could not keep it together and now they have to recast two of their biggest icons. My best advice for warner brothers is to quit thinking about what marvel is doing and just do your best to be respectful of DC's material and concentrate on making good heartfelt movies batman vs superman was a neat idea but it was obvious they're just trying to rush to get everybody geared up for justice league they ended up making a movie that most of us love to make fun of i don't think it would be a good idea to recast batman and superman and have them introduced in a new justice league movie i think maybe there should be a new superman movie and the new batman movie that introduces us properly to these two new faces make sure they're both really great films and then do the justice league sequel in treat it almost like a rebirth for the justice league and give us the movie we all deserve. I can already tell they are currently making more mistakes by putting out this joker movie with martin scorsese it genuinely feels like they don't know what to do so they're just doing anything.

Why So Serious?
I love how some films have really grasped the concept of internet and viral marketing for their movies. Cloverfield was phenomenal at it, and keeping track of the fun of The Dark Knight viral campaign is even more amazing. The different sites, the videos, the viral games. If you were lucky enough to get signed up to receive calls, you'd get occasional calls from the Joker. All of it leading up to the final number on the agenda, ending with each of the viral sites being defaced by the Joker himself, and all of the antics being reported by Gotham Cable News. Simply amazing. Simply brilliant.
And I do especially love the Gotham Cable News network. Showing videos online of Mike Engel (Anthony Michael Hall) reporting on the situation, doing interviews with different characters. And most of these videos being shown also on Comcast. I love the news ticker on gothamcablenews.com reporting bits of headlines that hint to plot points in the movie. I've seen the leaked first 5 minutes of The Dark Knight, and I love how the current video being where Mike Engel interviews Harvey Dent is treated like a realistic news cast which then ties directly into the bank heist we see in those first 5 minutes. Awesome.
The game is pretty much done, being that next week is the big premiere. But feel free to take a look at what you've been missing.

The final point on the list is the best one. For those following and those who could keep up and solve the Joker's little puzzles, you were treated to free tickets to an early screening of the movie in specific cities.
Genius marketing and a great reward for the fans that played along. I myself did not get free tickets, because, well, I don't really need them. I'll be getting my own early screening. :D

Can't wait.

I've gone back in time
There's huge buzz about the new Indiana Jones trailer debuting tomorrow. Check it out if you go see the Spiderwick Chronicles. It should be online shortly after that. I'm hella excited of course, but it's all so odd to me. All this talk about the next Indiana Jones, more talk about the next Batman. I came home the other day and saw back to back commercials for Knight Rider and American Gladiators.
I've certainle entered some sort fo timewarp. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to put on my members only jacket, slip on my reeboks, get on my schwinn, and meet up with some friends over at Mazzio's Pizza where we'll spend the next few hours playing Commando and trading Garbage Pail Kids cards.
