Not a horror movie, very much your basic police drama. Based on the stretch of land on I45 between Houston and Galveston where over 50 corpses of young women have been found since 1972. The original script was written by one of the homicide detectives who worked many of those murder cases. The screenplay was too weak for such a strong cast, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jessica chastain, Chloe Grace Moretz, what results is a very weak movie that does no justice to the real life victims found in those fields. Many of those cases remain unsolved, instead this movie takes minor details of the real life detectives and places them in a fictionalized murder case that equals a mediocre tv movie. The stories of the killing fields deserves so much better than this mediocre throwaway. It's on Netflix in case you'd like to completely ignore it.
from what i understand the original script was written by one of the detectives that this movie was based on the then was scrapped for this piece of crap screenplay written by dean Ferrarone
