Hate never solved nothing...
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
2017 ‧ Crime/Drama ‧
what you need to become a
detective... is Love.
Because thru Love comes Calm, and thru
Calm comes Thought. And you need
Thought to detect stuff sometimes,
It’s kinda all you need.
You don’t even need a gun. And you
definitely don’t need Hate.
Hate never solved nothing...

a knives out mystery not a whodunit
technically this is not a whodunit. it's not something you figure out, in a real whodunit, like agatha christie, all the information is given to you so you can try to solve the puzzle, but these movies, are more like howdunits. you just enjoy the twists as they withhold information so you can enjoy the surprises. I do enjoy these, though these are kinda a new breed of mystery movies, mot like traditional whodunit, these are more akin to oceans eleven, where you just watch how it's all done and how cool and fun it all comes together.

why do you need a director?
I was asked if there is a screenplay and a cast and a camera, why do you need a director? the director is the captain of the ship he commands the overall vision of the movie. in FIELD OF DREAMS when James Earl Jones delivers his big final moving speech. a lesser director could have just set up a camera however and just filmed him talking, but to further enhance the storytelling. the camera is positioned so you see the baseball game behind him. The screenplay only reads the dialogue, it says nothing about camera placement, but director Phil Alden Robinson positions the camera like this so when James earl jones reaches the intensity of his monologue the players behind him stop playing and pay attention. this mirrors what the audience is feeling as he speaks, suddenly part of the movie becomes part of the audience. as he courageously poetically speaks of the power of baseball. we the audience visibly see these players stop playing and they join us in beholding the power of his words, this is the power of cinematic storytelling, and the director has that power. the script itself tells a story, the score tells its own story, the camera and direction tells a story as well. put it all together and you have the essence of storytelling in movies. its why movies are so powerful. a good director knows how to use this.
#magaterrorists
#magaterrorists there was a time when #Conservatives respected veterans and law enforcement. a huge group of white folks have become what they accused Muslims and black folks and mexicans of being, turns out that deadly caravan was on this side of the wall.

i'M OBSESSED WITH PREY. WHAT A GREAT MOVIE.
Prey
R 2022 ‧ Sci-fi/Action
IN all the movies, beating a predator has never been about firepower, or muscle, or strength. it's about strategy, and intelligence, which is how Arnold beat the first Predator, Even with all their guns, it took low tech survival skills and being smart. I LOVE PREY. I CAN'T GET ENOUGH. TO ME IT IS THE BEST PREDATOR MOVIE, BECAUSE I DIDN'T CARE ABOUT ANY OF THE CHARACTERS IN THE FIRST MOVIE, IN PREY I WAS ROOTING FOR EVERYONE. EVEN AT TIMES ROOTING FOR THE PREDATOR.

Just give Ke Huy Quan the Indiana Jones franchise.
What great potential there is for some great and creative storytelling while paying tribute to and carrying on the spirit of Indiana Jones.
It would be amazing to follow a now Grown up Short Round going on his own adventures utilizing what he's learned from his time with Dr. Jones as well as whatever knowledge he's picked up on his own growing up in the time since we saw him in Temple of doom set in 1935.
imagine a 40 year old Short Round solving a mystery left behind from his former mentor, taking place in the 70's. The storytelling possibilities are endless. You could play with the setting, the time period, the geography. It's perfect timing as we've really seen Ke Huy Quan sgow his talents in the movie “Everything Everywhere All at Once” he's shpwn his acting ability, his talent for drama his skill in action. It's just time for a rebirth of the Indy spirit. Short round is the perfect option to explore.
Such life has been revitalized in other classic franchises like Rocky. Thanks to the Creed movies. And also in Top Gun. The potential for greatness is great. Disney had such great success in expanding storylines in the Star Wars universe thanks to Obiwan Kenobi and The Mandalorian. Aseries on Disney+
would be fun, but I feel the world of Indy deserves big blockbuster movies.
Come on Lucasfilm lets get on this. Heck I'll write a spec acript if you want.
